Real Estate Showdown: Montana v. San Francisco

Everyone who lives in Montana knows that the natural beauty that surrounds us is something greater than money can buy.  Some of you paying rent or mortgages might beg to differ, but once you’ve seen how the rest of the country lives, you know that your home sweet home in the Treasure State is worth every penny. And I mean penny.  You get more bang for your buck in Montana than in most other states, and I’m not just talking about the beautiful mountains and lakes.

Take San Francisco, for example: the tech capital of the world, home to some lovely restaurants, bars, nightlife, streetcars, hills, blah, blah, blah. I’m sure you’d think real estate by the Bay costs a bit more than in Montana, and you’d be correct!

Here is what you get for $350K.

SF House 1

WHAT. A. DEAL. You can check out the full listing here.  Can you believe you get not one but two bedrooms in this baby?

Keep in mind $350k is nearly twice as much as the average home value in Montana, according to Zillow.

And now here’s what you can get in Missoula for the exact same price:

missoula 1

Missoula 2

Check out the listing here.  Five beds, three baths, a deck, mountain views, A HOT TUB – country living with the convenience of the city just minutes away. Just look at those windows for natural light!

Our competitor in San Fran has windows, but sadly no glass – it’s a fixer!

Advantage? Montana.
