The First (and Third) Most Expensive Luxury Hotels in the U.S. are in Montana?

Luxury-Hotels.com ranked the most expensive U.S. luxury hotels in the United States, and can you believe that two of the top three are in Montana. The Ranch at Rock Creek offers guests different types of stays: a lodge, a spa, cabins, and glamping.  It costs $2,138 a night.  Their promotional material describes the ranch as being “set among 10 square miles of rugged Montana ranchland.”  Like most rugged Montanan ranches, Rock Creek has a bowling alley.  You can view the brochure here.

Here is a picture of one of the tents for Glamping at the Ranch.

Third on the list is the Resort at Paws Up which seems like a steal at $1,847 a night.  If you stay with them this New Years Eve, you will be treated to a yet to be named former contestant from American Idol.

Both places are unquestionably gorgeous, but we wonder how many Montanans have ever stayed there.  Let us know in the comments if you’ve been there and if you think it is worth the cash!
