Big on Billings: 7 Reasons Billings Does it Better

Sam Park put together a list of 11 reasons of why Missoula is the best. Classic Missoula over compensation.  Here are seven legit reasons Billings is the best city in Montana.  -Montana Parlay

 1.  Our economy is bonkers

This guy is the poorest person in Billings

(this is the poorest man in Billings)

CNN (ever heard of them?) studied the best places to start a business.  Guess who turned out to be #1 among small metro areas. The Magic City, that’s who.  We’re basically the Michael Jordan of business starting in small metro areas.  Combine that with our proximity to Montana’s vast energy resources in the east and being the closest metro hub for 5oo miles… you get the picture.

2. Affordable Housing

Our housing market is not bubbling like out west.  In Billings, the average fella can get himself a decent place to live.

and in Bozeman.

3. The Rimrocks

East Coasters might call them mountains but we are proud of “The Rims”

4. Tallest Building in Montana

You have not thrown a shopping cart off a building until you’ve thrown one off the First Interstate Bank Building.

We weren’t happy with just having the tallest building.  Second tallest building in Montana? Billings. Third? You guessed it… Billings.

 5. Diamond X Frisbee Golf Course

This aint your grandmother’s folf course. You had better bring extra discs, legit footwear, and maybe even anti-venom because you’re going to have to navigate a labrynth of cliffs, boulders, cactus, and yes, snakes. Those afraid of heights need not apply.

 6. The Bighorn River

It might be the best trout stream in the world and it is only 30 minutes away.

7. Our award winning restaurants

Brad from Burger Dive won the “Super Bowl” of food.

Lilac made the list of top 100 American-cuisine restaurants in the nation by Open Table.

And to everyone in Great Falls whose idea of fine dining is unlimited breadsticks, yes we have an Olive Garden (and you won’t find us there).
